Coral:
This was my mother's favourite stone and was used as an amulet as well a sign for her for love, strength and prosperity.
She always wore coral necklaces for important occasions and wore this on my wedding day.
I always carry it with me as it meant so much to her and I love the fact that it was against her skin and so it is against mine.
She is with me all the time.

A colleague, Avril Dahl, made this beautiful brooch in memory of all the elephants that were laced with poison by poachers. 'Poachers lace the discarded elephant carcass with cheap poisons to kill vultures in mass. Why? Because vultures circling in the sky alert wildlife authorities to the location of poachers' activities'. Posted by Darcy Ogada of The Peregrine Fund in Explorers Journal on August 29, 2013.
The authorities are then distracted and poachers continue poaching elsewhere.
This really upset me and I received the brooch for Christmas.
